PAST EVENTS

Bream Fisherman Association/Emerald Coastkeeper's Annual Picnic
This was a fantastic way to spend the day! We loved seeing everyone who came, and enjoyed our chance to talk to some of our local candidates!

Canoe and Kayak Trip with Dave McGehee
10-19-08

This event was a great success! Emerald Coastkeeper members (and potential members) paddled around the bay for about two hours, enjoying the sunshine and the enlightening words of Dave McGehee.  We are looking forward to our next outdoor excursion.

Kayak Trip to Dead Man's Island
11-22-08

This trip was amazing.  Even in the cold weather we had several people show.  Not only did we have a gorgeous boat trip out, once on the island we discovered bear tracks! What an incredible find.  Heather Reed gave us a perfect intro to our tour of the island.

Kayak Trip to Big Sabine Bay
12-13-08
Though cold and wind altered our route a bit, seeing these fantastic canals was worth it.  Michael O'Donovan explained that the canals were originally dug to prevent mosquito habitation! Of course, that wa
s not exactly a successful venture, but it has created rather windy and wandering waterways for us to explore.  Thanks Michael!
